Enrollment

Little Owl Preschool is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Children must be 2 years 6 months by September of the enrollment year, through 5 years of age children. Little Owl Preschool supports an anti-bias, humanistic education. We welcome families from all lifestyles: social, ethnic, religious, political, cultural, sexual, racial, economic, geographic, and philosophical. We actively resist and challenge bias and support social justice for the greater good. We are a state licensed facility through the California Department of Social Services.

Tuition and Fee Schedule for 2013-2014

*Full time schedule includes lunch and two snacks. A breakfast bar (hot or cold cereal, fruit and milk) is available for children arriving 7:00-7:50am

Enrollment Procedure

Prior to filling out an enrollment application, we require you to call our center and set up a physical tour of the school and meet with our Executive Director. We schedule tours once or twice a month and limit them to 10-12 prospective parents.The tours are held in the am and generally run 45 min. to an hour. We end up in our conference room for a question and answer time. This allows the family to view the program in action and decide if the philosophy and goals of our program are a good fit for your child. If at the end of the tour you find the school a god fit, you may fill out an enrollment application. This does not necessarily assure your child will be enrolled. We take many things into account as we make up our roster of new children. We want gender equity so we have an equal amount of girls and boys. We look at the scheduling and budget needs to run a sound program.

We do not require a deposit fee upon receipt of your application. That is due when we have an actual space for your child. We prefer that this be an adult only tour. We will offer several opportunities for your child to tour and come for short visits prior to their starting our program.

Annual Registration Fee

A $75.00 per child non-refundable fee is due at registration and then annually beginning September 2013.
If your child(ren) are not attending our summer program, your registration fee is due in June to hold your September space.

Materials Fee

A materials fee of $200 will be assessed the first month your child attends, and then each September the child continues in the program. This covers the items for earthquake preparedness kits, the use of an off-site kiln, and part of the cost for the richness of materials used by all of the children in the arts program.

Multiple Child Discounts

A 20% reduction in tuition for the second child and any additional children enrolled concurrently is available.

Tuition Adjustment

The adjustment of the tuition is considered on a case by case basis on a request and review of the family’s economic ability and the financial needs to run a healthy school.
